Construction of the Core Zone of
Milk Cows in High Quality at ¡° the Milk Cradle ¡± of West
China
Project Organization:
The construction of Wuzhong
Jinyintan Excellent Milk Cow Core Center is the project
preferred and supported by the state as The National Modern
Farming Model Park/Area Construction Project. The area
is from Jinliao Nan Road in the south, extending to Jinliao
dong Road in the east and to Jinxi Road in the west, which
is as long as about 2.9 km from the south to the north,
as wide as some 1.08 km from the east to the west and
totally covers the land area of 3678.7 mu.
Project Content and Scale:
¡¡To build the roads in the above area, including
2 main trunk roads which are 2.5 km long Zhongxin Road
and 3.8 km long Jinxi Road, 4 minor trunk roads which
are Weiyi Road, Weier Road, Weisan Road and Weisi Road,
totally as long as 3.5 km, and all the above roads are
as long as 9.8 km, to build water supply works including
drilling 2 deep wells, to pave 26.2 km long tap water
pipe; to build drainage works including digging 10.67
km long drainage ditch, paving 8.07 km long pipe; to build
power supply works including to set up 6.258 km long high
pressure line at 10 kv, to mount 18 sets of transformers;
to layout woods belt along the roads forming green area
as much as 476 mu to make gardening rate be over 20%;
to set up 22 breeding parks of milk cows where there are
30000 milk cows; to build 3 centers for fodder to be distributed;
as an assistant construction, to set up a modern service
system for milk cow management including an information
management center of milk cows, a breeding center for
good breed and a prevention and control epidemic disease
center.
Conditions Available for Project Construction:
The area for the project is
located at Jinyintan Town, Litong District of Wuzhong,
9 km away from the city of Wuzhong, adjacent to National
Highway 211 and so the communication is convenient and
the location is prominent.
Prospect for Project:
¡¡So far the world average consumption of
milk has been 90 kg per person. In Britain, USA, Canada
and other developed countries, that has reached to over
200 kg per person but Chinese only to 13 kg per person.
By compare, China¡¯s milk industry has much room to develop.
With the people¡¯s economic income increase, with the living
standard rise, and with the change of consumptive ideas
and eating and drinking structures, the market demand
for milk will be quickly going up, resulting in the emergence
of the obvious contradiction gradually. However, at present,
that kind of cows on sales in the present markets is short
and at high price, and the obvious contradiction of milk
industry is that the increase of the capita of high yielding
milk cows in good quality is lower than that of demand
for milk consumption. As a result, it is urgent to improve
the quality of milk cows promptly. Therefore, to develop
and breed the cows mentioned above is of a good prospect.
Estimated Investment and Profit :
¡¡The investment totals 590 million yuan among which
22.66 million yuan will be for the construction of infrastructures.
After completion of the project, 30000 milk cows will
be kept in park, which will yield 100000 tons of fresh
milk annually, equal to 170 million yuan yield value.
Project Progress:
¡¡At present, the road works of the park
have been completed. 2 deep wells have been dug, 2 km
long water supply pipe and 2.5 km long drainpipe been
paved, 6.2 km long power line at 10 kv been set up, the
building of the 3 centers mentioned in the core zone have
generally been completed. Now, the building of 4 parks
for breeding have been finished and put into operation.
Another 5 parks for breeding are under construction, which
have 72 cow houses and so far there are some 3000 milk
cows in the park area.
